thursday. Day 5. of course we bought the art.

We woke up at 9 and headed to breakfast in the dining room.

After that we went up to the Boardwalk for the reception/show for Crown and Anchor Society members, which the Feits are, and I will be soon (it only takes one cruise to make it to gold level).  We got free cocktails there.  Then we went to the gym and worked out for 45 minutes, then went back to the room to change for lunch.  Lunch was Giovanni's Table, another specialty (read: pay) restaurant in Central Park.  The food was Italian, served family style.  We had caesar salad, foccacia breads, paparadele with cream sauce and paparadele with tomato sauce, rissotto, and fillet of sole.  Everything was good, but most things had cheese so Steph ate very little.  Dessert was the best part, cannoli and tiramisu, and other stuff I couldn't have.

The ship has one art gallery, featuring one artist Romero Britto.  They have some really cool stuff, and we've been going back every day to see this one piece we like, and today we finally bought it.  Hooray!

We changed and went to the pool.  We swam a bit in the "beach pool" that has salt water, then the adult only whirlpool that hangs over the side of the boat, and the adult only solarium pool at the front of the boat.  Then we sat by the pool for a bit with Lisa and Sheldon, laying in lounge chairs.  Steph and I had a cocktail with coconut rum, cranberry juice and pineapple juice.  The best part was that it was served in a pineapple, complete with eyes, nose and a mouth.  We named it Fred.  After a bit we went back to the room and changed for dinner.  We're leaving in a few minutes.  Tonight is formal night again.

Again I wore my black suit with a black tie, and Steph wore a dress.We had really good mushroom puff pastry things, and cold peach soup, caesar salad, and for a main I had vegetable mousaka - very different from my father’s, but really good. Steph had salmon again.Next we all went to the headliner show, and Steph and I got seats dead center several rows from the stage.The headliners were two guys named Mario and Daniel and were actually really funny.After that we went to the 50s dance party in the aqua theater, where we danced on stage to live 50s music.After the party, they played Grease on the big outdoor screens in the Aqua Theater and people watched and sung along.A little more than half way through Steph and I left (Lisa and Sheldon stayed).We went to Dazzles where we danced to a dj playing top 40 music.Then we went to our room and went to sleep.
